Let's Go Ice Skating Around Annapolis

This morning's very brief, fresh coat of snow makes us want to get outside and enjoy some winter fun! As we embrace the winter weather, it’s not just about bundling up and staying inside. It’s also about taking advantage of all the great things Anne Arundel County offers this season. And nothing says festive winter fun like ice skating, so let’s get out of the house and check out some of our favorite places to go around the Annapolis area!

My personal favorite is Quiet Waters Park, where my kids have gone since they were super little. You can even take ice skating lessons there! If you’re looking for an indoor option, try the Piney Orchard Ice Arena. This facility is used by hockey teams of all ages and figure skaters, and you can even book a party there. If you want to drop in for an open skate, don’t forget to register online first!

Another great indoor option is the Bowie Ice Arena, home of the Bowie High School Ice Dogs. They have public skating sessions and also offer a frequent skater card. https://www.cityofbowie.org/105/Ice-Arena
