Before You Go

A little planning goes a long way on July 4, especially in downtown Annapolis.

Arrive earlier than feels necessary. Parking and viewing spots go fast, especially for parades and fireworks.
Bring the boring stuff. Chairs, water, sunscreen, bug spray and snacks will make the day easier.
Expect downtown traffic. Annapolis will have road closures and heavier foot traffic around the parade and fireworks.
Check official pages before you leave. Weather, parking details, public safety updates and event times can change.
