Spring Cleaning Shredding, Recycling & Sports Equipment Donation Day
Spring is the perfect time to refresh your home and give back to the community! 🌸 The Jen Holden Group of Compass is excited to host a Spring Cleaning Shredding, Recycling & Sports Equipment Donation Day, a community-driven event where you can declutter for free while supporting local youth athletes in need.
- Date: Saturday, April 11
- Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM (or until the truck is full)
- Location: Shipley’s Choice Swim Club Parking Lot, 947 Rustling Oaks Dr, Millersville
Want to Support LPF with a Monetary Donation?
You can contribute directly to Leveling the Playing Field through our online fundraiser:
Donate online to Leveling the Playing Field
Every dollar helps LPF collect, process, and distribute equipment so more kids can participate in youth sports.
Why Join Us?
We all accumulate paperwork containing personal information, such as old bills, statements, tax records, medical records, and more. Instead of letting it pile up or risking your information being compromised, bring it to our free shredding event and we’ll provide secure on-site paper shredding at no cost to you.
Chesapeake Shredding will shred paper documents on site. The electronics truck is a large box truck that will collect electronics and process them later at the warehouse. Electronics accepted for recycling include laptops, PCs, printers, and monitors. Hard drives are securely destroyed off-site, and remaining components are recycled. TVs are not accepted.
The shredder can handle staples and small binder clips up to 1 inch. Please remove large binder clips and 3-ring binders.
Please note: To offer this free service to as many people as possible, please limit paper shredding to 4 standard boxes (12 x 10 x 15 inches), about the size of a copier paper box.
As you’re clearing out your space, keep an eye out for gently used sports equipment, because you can make a difference in a child’s life simply by donating.
Support Young Athletes Through Leveling the Playing Field 🏀⚽
We’ve partnered with Leveling the Playing Field (LPF), a nonprofit organization dedicated to making sports more accessible to underprivileged youth. LPF provides high-quality, gently used sports equipment to schools and community programs, helping lower costs and remove financial barriers to participation.
Your donations help kids get in the game. Many children miss out on sports simply because they can’t afford the necessary equipment. By donating, you’re giving them an opportunity to experience teamwork, discipline, and confidence-building that comes with playing a sport.
