Supporting Local on Small Business Saturday: Severna Park Edition

Small Business Saturday promotional graphic with blue gift boxes and bows surrounding the message “Come Shop With Us – Small Business Saturday” and a heart logo reading “Shop Eat Support Local,” inviting Severna Park and Anne Arundel County shoppers to support local small businesses during the holiday season.

Small Business Saturday is the perfect excuse to grab a peppermint latte, bundle up the family, and spend the day exploring the local spots that make Severna Park feel like home.

This year, on Saturday, November 29, 2025, we are shining the spotlight right here in the Park from Ritchie Highway to tucked-away gems off the B&A Trail. When you shop small, you are not just checking people off your holiday list. You are supporting neighbors, strengthening schools, and investing in the character of our community.

We pulled together a Severna Park focused lineup of shops where you can discover thoughtful gifts, fun experiences, and treats for everyone on your list.

The Cottage

If you are shopping for the women in your life, The Cottage is always a happy place to start. This stylish women's boutique in Severna Park offers clothing, jewelry, accessories, home decor, and easy grab and go gifts, with popular brands and a mix of fun, classic, and coastal styles.

The Cottage is especially great for:

  • Teacher gifts and hostess gifts
  • Fun holiday outfits and accessories
  • Little surprises for teens and tweens

Plan to linger a bit. Their team is fantastic at helping you pull together gifts or a complete outfit when you are short on time.

Making the Most of Small Business Saturday in Severna Park

A few ways to turn Small Business Saturday into a fun Severna Park tradition:

  • Start with coffee or breakfast at a local cafe, then make your way through a few of these spots.
  • Let kids pick one person they will shop for at a local store and help them choose something meaningful.
  • Build a themed gift basket using items from multiple shops, like a cozy night in, self care, or Maryland coastal basket.
  • Snap photos in front of your favorite storefronts and tag the businesses so your friends can discover them too.

And if you are feeling extra generous, consider picking up an additional toy while you are out shopping to support our toy drive for Belle Grove Elementary School's Holiday Shop, and reach out to us if you would like us to swing by to pick it up. Small acts of kindness add up quickly when a whole community leans in.

On Small Business Saturday and all season long, shopping in Severna Park keeps our town vibrant, creative, and connected. Here is to full shopping bags, warm storefronts, and a community that continues to show up for one another.

From all of us at The Jen Holden Group of Compass, happy Small Business Saturday.
